Why not just write a one beep ring tone on your p800, you can have ANYTHING as a ringtone on that phone.

I hav`nt got my p800 yet so can`t look in the menus but is there not a simple composer on it, if not then there are sound bite downloads out there (i saw some on this forum) & if you can send a file to a p800 as a ringtone then any sound on a pc can be converted to the correct file format. i`ll try to find that site with th p800 sound d,loads on it.

Why don't you just record the alarm sound with the Voice memo?! Just hit a kettle with a spoon or something?! Then save it and use it as the alarm sound.

But it should be a quick way of activating that. You shouldnt have to go to the settings everytime you would like to have another way of ringing and beeping. Take Nokia for an example. There you have 6 (I think) profiles where you can config ringtone, sms, warningssignal etc and you are only a keypress away to change between them.

But P800 is not normal phone =P

Only silent and normal, hehee. that's only I use on T68i.
then use personal ringtones, it's still great

But I used 5 different profiles on my Nokias. Normal, Loud, Silent, Pager (only vibrator) and night (without SMS because I revive a SMS everytime I get an e-mail and with all fu***ng spam...). I really would like to see som simular function in my P800...

I hope profiles will get added soon. I don't know if it's really a limitation of the P800 or the Symbian 7.0 OS.

Havn`t had time sorry, you could write it very quickly on a t68i composer then send it to the p800 via BT, or find the composer on your p800 (has`nt it got one ?) put in one note, adjust volume vibe on or off, with no repeat.
