Anyone run into their T68 vibrator having a mind of it's own?

Sometimes mine will vibrate on incoming calls other times it will not, this is on normal profile, vibrate on. (charger not plugged in)

In the vibrate service test, when I press the keys, it will vibrate most of the time, then sometimes it won't, but if I hold the phone up to my ear I can hear something turning inside, then keep pressing the keys then eventually vibrate will come to live.

Vibrate is pretty useless on the T68 so I should not be fretting but anyhow this phone is pretty expensive and I expect all features to work.

The Service Tests are made to TEST your phone, if you say that it doesn't work all the time, then you already have your answer...

Got to service center and complain and ask for a new one! My vibrate works perfectly and I haven't had ANY problems with it...

Good luck

You just tell them that you don't care if THEY haven't heard of the problem, YOU have it! And they should take your phone, send it to the magical center where they check things and fix it!

Good luck again!

Just curious, how easy you guys in Europe get your phones fixed? How long does it take? Ericsson USA after I mail it to them, normally take 7-30 working days.

welcome in the ericsson usa club....
dont you love this guys there ?
7 to 30 workdays....how nice...
they need there but kicked...you have no idea how many dealers here in the states give me the same answer to my standard question....go in a cellular phone store and ask which ericsson they have....
answer...
ohh just this and this...we took ericsson out of the program because of the problems with there customer service...it takes forever to fix things and we can`t do this to our customers what ericsson (here in the states)does to theres
and what pisses me of at most about all this...you can`t do anything about it
i wished ericsson would kick some but here

a wild guess the contact between
the vibrator and the circuit board is not that good...
this because of the two tin-plates on the vibrator which probably has been pinched out of place with the contact plate on the circuit board...

maybe not such a wild guess after all it's quite a common fault... both with the vibrator and the microphone...
