Is it? I'm not looking for extensive smartphone usage. My main usage will be
1- music
2- SMS
3- calls
4- browsing

I'm getting one slightly used for 150 US $

For music it's great... Anyway, I think the P1 is more suitable for you since you are looking for sms (texting), it has way better types of text input...

for that money you can't go too far wrong.

I wasn't thinking P1 as an alternate as that would be more expensive and then you'd still have to spend more on a memory stick to store the music.

I was thinking along similar lines but that M600 might be an option as I found emailing (rather than texting) a breeze on the m600 keyboard compared to the crummy W950 keyboard which doesn't have a very good feel/feedback imho. but even with M600 you're going to have to buy a memory stick

the m600 option also has the bonus that now you can actually install walkman 2.0 W950 app on it

Yeah but i cant find any M600.
There's a N91 8GB for 200$, a N80 for 150$, a K850 for 220$
