Hello, i am trying to use the UIQ3 permissions hack and found a good tutorial on the se-nse forum. i was successful in doing the hack using apptrack and 1.py file. i even successfully increased the volume of the head phones in my P1i.
what i have noticed is when the phone is rebooted after the mod is done and phone has detetected the service provider signal, , there is a small icon of a phone receiver with a slash across it. it appears next to the signal strength indicator. while this icon is there, i cannot make or receive calls. i was almost freaking out when this happened.
to my surprise i also noticed that it just went away after a while and i was able to use all the phone functions.

IS THIS COMMON?

none of the forums postings mention anything on this. the regular and expert people on this topic can you Please help.?
TIA

I don't think that this is related with the hack.

If it happens rarely and only for a few seconds (usually after startup), it's normal.

mm. Probably turns up while it's checking for other than default options on the network you're in, or something lke that.

Thank you Nipsen and Myth,

it does not happen only for a few seconds, yesterday my phone was in that state for about 15 minutes.

i am a bit worried about doing the mods, but i want to put the walkman 3 on the phone.. do you recommend that i go ahead and do it. in your personal experiences, have u put the WM3 and does it work perfectly

really appreciate your inputs
Thnx

This acually happend to me for the first time yesterday after hacking folders and sound mod on my w960. I normaly have full signal at work but yesterday I could not make/receive calls for about 10 mins.

It works normal today so I'm not worried. Go ahead and get WM3 you can always restore the phone...

the funny part is, the signal strength is full for me.
there is a small phone icon next to it which has a slash thru...
if u click on that icon, it says incoming calls not allowed.

but the phone works fine now so i have no complaints, i just was curious to know if any one else has faced this and is it NORMAL
