Dude the Idou and W995 will not be available before this summer!!
The C905 is a very nice phone,of course if you want to compare it to next gen phones that will come after 6 months it's not as good

I dont understand why people hate the phone so much. The phone might break with one fault... but sony fix it 100% free! why complain, i would be annoyed if they just said its not our fault like some rouge builder!

People just want a phone that works. I'm not saying that there is not a chance to get a lemon when something is being mass produced, but the defect rate is rather high for the C905.

I have a theory about the c905 dodgy speaker/earpiece syndrome which ties in with it apparently happening after a software upgrade. When you flash the phone you have to hold down the [c] button for about 10 to 20 seconds. On the c905 the softkeys are not the most responsive and (personally) I held it down quite hard after which the earpiece was dead. Could it be that the dodgy componment is under the [c] key? This would make more sense if the mic was faiiling but it's not far-fetched to think they're connected is it?

By the way - any sign of the Westen Europe upgrade?

Lets put it this way, mine is an 09 W02 model and there are no faults or anything even slightly wrong with it. The slider moves about 0.5mm to the side, but so does every slide phone.

And the cam is just awsome if used correctly, I have a renoir as well and in general there is no difference, except in indoors when the Sony really out performs the LG.

The calendar I am looking at says week 45 was from 3rd November.

My week 3 of 2009 model has no problems so far... some crappy 3G reception but I think that is my new provider...

heya thanks for the responses to my dissappointment that the media button groups together all the pictures despite what folder they are in

I tried a few applications to lock the folders but they were a little too hard/frustrating for me to use, resulting in me having to delete the pics I tried to lock - lol

Im going to try the other idea mentioned and change the extention from jpeg on my pc

my other concern is the metallic silver rim of the d pad button has started to peel off, am really gutted as this seems to be gettin worse by the day (reminds me of the small cracks which appeared on my se W850 d -pad)

Anyone have any gud ideas how to stop anymore peeling as its only 3wks old thanks

I got a new C905 today. I returned the crappy copper one I bought in the first place, and got the newest week version that they had. I new have a black week 52 that works PERFECTLY. No play in the slider at all and it ACTUALLY works...

Bought a brand new silver one from a friend today

He bought a black early model when c905 where released an he had to send that one in 2 times for repair. Now he did get a brand new silver one. He didnīt have the nerves to keep it after having to send the old one away twice so he sold it to me

Itīs a 09w4 model and it feels really good.
