First off, please note the terminology.

Taken - When the actual picture was taken, as in, the day that I picked up my camera, focused on my subject and pressed the shutter button.

Created - When the image file was created, digitally on the computer, as in when I created a new file, via the copy function on a computer.

Okay, so I've taken pictures. Lots of pictures. I've taken them from 2002, till now. I had three main cameras, my Panasonic Camcorder, which could also take stills, my Canon SD10 and my w810i.

Now, when I go to the Media section of my k850i and go to Cam Album, all of the w810i and the Canon pics all show up with the correct date.

However, the Panasonic does not show up correctly. The Canon and the w810i photos all show up under the tag of when they were taken, however, the Panasonic photos show up when they were created.

Now, I have edited ALL of my images on GIMP and Photoshop (the image scale, since my phone's screen res is 240 x 320, and it's kind of pointless and space wasting to have a picture that's 1024 x 768 or bigger on a resolution that can't view that big, fullsize). I have also copied them, which thus makes the CREATION date (not the date when they were TAKEN) to whenever they were copied. I don't quite understand this. I've gone into the image tags for the ones showing up incorrectly, and tried to modify the date created, but am unable to (maybe it's cause I'm on Vista). I am able to change the date that it was taken, but not the date that it was created (as in the file itself, not the actual picture).

Does anyone have a solution for fixing this? Now that my phone is pretty advanced, I want to keep all of my pictures on it. I've got an 8 gig card and plan on getting the theoretical 32 gig if the k850i can handle it, so I've got more than enough room for pictures. However, I don't want to have to keep the fullsize resolution photos on it, so I am going to resize it. However, I really think that the way the Media photo album organizes your photos by date is neat, because I can see when the actual picture is taken is pretty cool.

Allows me to keep my memories in chronologic order. However, seeing some pictures incorrectly organized, even though the date tags are correct are annoying. Does anyone have a fix? Is this a flaw in the firmware? Please help, if you can.

if all the pics is jpeg, it shouldnt be any problem. maybe you have some small bugg, have you tried to uppdate to latest fw ????

have the panasonic pictures exactley the same jpeg unit(data) like the rest of the pictures ???

as you know photoshop, etc... sometimes mess up the exif data on jpeg pictures. maybe that can be the issue.

They are JPEG's. I have the RE1037 or whatever the latest one is, that is official (not the R1F). The Photoshop didn't mess up the image information, everything is exact except for the type of camera it was taken on. :'(

What exactly is EXIF information?
