For some reason today my middle touch button decided to grow it's own brain and now doesn't respond to my input, instead it just randomly clicks itself repeatedly, sometimes I can control it so when I press down on the keypad it goes down + selects and sometimes briefly the button will work but apart from that the phone is pretty useless.

Tried:
Taking phone apart, cleaning.
Master reset.

Pretty sure it's HW... googled and found a few ppl with the same problem, nobody had a real fix.. no warranty left on phone.

Yeah I tried a few things..nothing seems to work, I don't think I can get it back to a consistent normal working state.

Unfortunately the phone was a gift, and the person who gave it to me bought it off ebay, still new but they don't hev the receipt.

Now the only question is.. do I take it to one of the bussiness listed as a SE service centre on the SE website, where I know (well I would hope) they will fix it properly but it might end up being expensive, or take it to a phone repair shop where it's not really a common problem since it's not a feature many phones have, but it might be cheaper and faster than an SE place. Hmm..
