Has anyone been able to watch youtube videos on their G900 through WLAN connection? Everytime I load up a video it just "buffers" forever.

Just wondering if there is anything I can do to improve my web performance. Thanks!

If you want to stream videos via WLAN you need a router thats support RTSP (RealTimeStreamingProtocol), otherwise it will just only show 0% buffer .

That will work fine directly from your browser, but to watch really good quality true flv video from youtube, you have to use the latest version of core player for uiq3...quality is superb

Wow I will have to check out updating my core player!

Another issue I think it may be is the encoding. In my video settings -> Encoding, the default was Chinese (BIG 5). I see lots of other countries but no US. Would that have something to do with me being able to watch youtube and other videos on my phone? I have had my G900 "hang" while opening certain mp4 and have had to manual reboot

the native media player does not handle properly all types of MP4 (h263 should work fine, but h264 have problems)

so i advise you to buy Core Player, its an outsanding app right now, it plays almost everything, including youtube videos, like i said before

Do you have to pay for the data transfer for viewing youtube? Cause i logged on the site on my mobile and they adviced me to upgrade to a unlimited data plan. Shouldn't wifi be free when surfing the net?

@ Wizardz
If you browse via wifi it's of course free. The advice is for those who surf via HSPA, Edge or GPRS.
