Hi please accept my apologies, if i appear thick, I do not have any tech knowledge of Mobile Phones.

I had my Orange K800i unlocked to use my T-Mobile sim by a local mobile shop last year.

last saturday I allowed a friend to stick his non t-mobile sim in my phone as his battery was flat, since then I have not been able to turn it on.

I am guessing that this must have "buggered up" ( see who said i wasnt technical ! ) the firmware. My question is if I take it to the shop again , is it a "big" job for him to fix, i.e does it need to go through the same process to unlock again ?

The reason being that the phone has a problem with the speaker, so i dont want to throw good money after bad, and have since been given an alternative phone anyway, my main aim is to get my pics and saved texts off the phone.

Many thanks for any help
