K800i and a problem with sms smileys |

How can I turn the smileys off from text messages? Every time I write or any smiley that's in the K800i's memory, it turns into a picture. It's bugging me so badly and can't seem to find any setting that allows to turn them off.
Does somebody have a suggestions? |

They turn into pictures on most phones dude. The SMS is still sent as text, meaning the way you typed it. Only Symbian smartphones doesn't show the smileys as pictures (and maybe WinCE devices too, dunno). But most people prefer to have smileys shown as pictures, which is why applications like A-SMS exists to make smiley-pictures appear on Symbian devices afterall.
If it really bugs you that much, buy a Symbian phone. There's no way of turning it off in the K800. |

Yes, I'm aware that they actually don't get sent as pictures but as text, of course but I don't think so that they turn into pictures on most phones - it's more likely they stay as "text" on 97% of phones. I myself have owned ~20 different phones and this is the first one with those picture smilies.
I just myself DON'T like if the smileys become pictures, I prefer the normal ones and if it's true they can't be turned off is in my opinion stupid. I'd like to look at the text versions of smileys, they don't annoy when looking at a message and all of the sudden there's some horrid yellow thingy there. Argh.
Yeah, if it can't be turned off I can live with it but still I don't like it.
