Two clam-shell/flip phones with built-in cameras are now available to U.S. customers.
First, Sprint has the Sanyo SCP-5300, which features a built-in camera with FLASH and 3-position zoom. It has a 2.1-inch 65k lcd screen and an external 1-inch 65k display for picture caller id. (US$400)
Second, T-Mobile now offers the Samsung V205. It has a built-in camera, a 65k color display, a monochrome external display, and MMS capability. (US$450)
Both feature polyphonic ringtones and downloadable games.
Anyone own either of these phones?
Pros? Cons?

they are good phones and at least i do not have to bring a camera attachment with me. built in cam is better due to less hassle to me. |

@d_a_r_k_n_e_z_z it makes the phones thicker, but i guess if you weigh out the pros and cons, then yeah it's better to have a built-in cam.

I played with a friend's Motorola T720 for a few minutes and wasn't impressed. In fact, it seemed a bit flimsy to me. I agree that Samsung phones are prone to problems, but I've heard better things about Sanyo.
I'm very curious to see that SPC-5300 in action. I wonder if it's as easy to import your own content into the phone as it is with the T68 series.
I had a Samsung A500 for 2 weeks. There was no way to import your own backgrounds, themes, etc. I'm not sure if it was a limitation of Samsung's firmware, or Sprint's policy of controlling content on their phones.
I just don't know about Sprint. They have some good plan options, but they're also the most expensive. Also, I don't think their technology is compatible with GSM phones, so a P800 won't work on their system.
