Hi..... I have been searching all over the internet, but was not able to find an answer or a solution..... I am trying to get some kind of wifi software for my w810i, but have failed..... Rest of the softwares that I wanted, I have, except for this one..... Please can somebody help me with that?? Any information, any suggestions, recommendations would be appreciated..... I have heard that we get wifi SD cards, which can be used for accessing wifi on non-wifi enabled phones..... They just need to be used as ordinary memory cards..... Will they work with w810i?? If yes, what kind of card should I buy?? My phone is locked with Rogers.... Do I need to flash my phone before using this card??? Thanks in anticipation.....

wifi for a W810i?

i'm just not sure but i think wifi capability is hardware-dependent.. and if indeed there are add-on card adapters or wifi built-in memory cards - that would surely be a hit

welcome to esato mate!

To use wi-fi you have to have the physical hardware inside your phone, because the phone you have dosn't have wi-fi there is no software you could download to make your phone have wi-fi. I've also never heard of these "memory cards" and if there is such a thing I want want one for my viewty as as miss the wi-fi from my N95 dearly.

They do have WiFi SD cards, but regular phones do NOT support SD I/O (Input/Output), so no, you cannot use a WiFi SD card to give your phone the ability to pick up WiFi signals. A PDA could utilize this card, ONLY if it supported Input/Output cards. Sorry dude.

Here's an SD WiFi card for Palm.

also, I have learnt that the w810i software needs to be modified to be a wifi enabled phone..!! but i dont think its worth the effort..... a lot of other hardware, software and warranty/guarantee issues come up with that....
