I contacted Sony UK about MS DUO cards and availablity as I want to have a good quantity of mp3's in my P800 when I get it.

The more I read here and elswhere, starting to put me off P800:

My question:
------------------------------------
Concern: I want information about Sony products
Product: Other Products - Model:
------------------------------------
Message: When will I be able to buy Memory Stick DUO cards in the UK (64MB
minimum size)? Or can I buy one on-line.

Response:
Thank you for your recent email and interest in Sony products.

Unfortunately there have been no finalised dates regarding the release of
Memory Stick DUO products in the United Kingdom in the foreseeable future.
Sony United Kingdom Limited normally have a product launch every April and
September. However, no information is made available on the new products (to
Sony customer services or consumers) until the brochure that accompanies the
launch is released.

I am sorry for any disappointment this may cause.

With regards

So far I don't think the Duo sticks are available anywhere . It's a major flaw in the P800 really. Since it's impossible to use the MSDuo slot for anything useful if you only have the stick that came with it. But as far as I know there is only one or two other devices that use this format. So don't expect them to be available in great masses anytime soon.
