Yup. Shipping is what I also wondered about. I doubt there's a snow balls chance in hell they'd ship to the UK... or any other conutry that is burdened with specific provider deals.
But no harm in trying
EDIT: Having thought about it a bit, Apple are a little too smart to allow people to order from HK. So, I reckon the phone may ONLY be activated using iTunes HONG KONG.

Lads, I've asked a similar questio before regarding "Today Screen" on the iPhone. Some people post links to a Today Screen BUT only when the iPhone was locked.
But is there any software on App Store that changes the iPhones MAIN screen to something like the screen on Windows Mobiles?
The iPhone's Home screen I think is rubbish if you are a busy person who needs to have quick access to your calendar or to-do list... or in terms of organising all your programmes according to Type)
And before any smart alec says "why not just buy a windows mobile, I already have one
EDIT: Someone else who agrees with my comments http://www.informationweek.co[....]s/2008/09/apple_patent_sh.html

can't say I've seen anything in the app store and I just did a quick couple of searches with obvious keywords

LOL! Only thing is that the patented screen still doesn't have any calendar entries or to-do list!!!
Oh, I'm so torn about whether to get an iPhone or not!!!!
Masseur, you've had both a Windows mobile and iPhone. So, if the iPhone was to get a PROPER Today screen which phone would you recommend?
Oh, and does the iPhone have a Word viewer? |

the thing is, I've always got both so its hard for me to answer.
I do alot of browsing etc and the iPhone is heaps better for that. I've also moved all my music and music videos over to the iPhone.
so for me, the iPhone is a great handheld browsing/entertainment phone (though I wish it had FM radio too), while the WM is used much more for business situtaions in the way that you want
while the GPS in the iPhone is excellent, its held back by having only google maps to experience it, and while that it quite good really, having tomtom 7 on my WM is much better for those times when I haven't got my dedicated Garmin with me
Not sure I can get by without both to be honest!

I remember there used to be an app on installer (jailbroken iphone) that changed the lock screen adding cal, sms and etc to it. I canŽt remember its name now but iŽll get back to u later.
If you wanna view word files on the iphone I recommend u get Žair sharingŽ from the app store. It supports many kinds of files, u can create folders and etc, plus it turns your iphone into a wi-fi flashdrive meaning u can use it to keep stuff or tranfer from one pc to another (but u gotta have wi-fi). The app can open word and pdf files with large picts and charts and viewing them with multi-touch is the better experience uŽll find out there since u can scroll, zoom and move the file all at the same time.
About the tomtom part, a solution is coming to the iphone in the coming time from the app store, so iŽve read. Tomtom apparently already have its app working on the iphone, it just needs to sort out some legal details with apple.
good luck

^^ yeah the app you're referring to is Intelliscreen (i think) and it's shareware. Never used it myself, but lots of people swear by it
EDIT: a la...

Yup. Seen that app before. Pretty good but only thing is you can't have it as your home screen, which is what I want so you can access individual calendar entries, to-do's, emails, txts etc. |

Maybe its the PC's USB port that is no longer working? have you tested something else to see if the port is working? And I know it sounds dumb but try and force shutdown the iphone and replug it in. Do the same to the PC |
