I have acquired a USB Modem from 3 which will connect at 3.5G (HDSPA) speeds, but I was wondering if there was any way toi increase the speed of my downloads.
I currently connect at 3.6Mbps, but am getting download speeds of only 50kbps.
Anyway to boost this? |

I really think you should check up on your settings, 250kbps on a 2Mbps line is a bit to slow.
I am guessing you running Virgin cable and not DSL, so that means that line length to the exchange shouldn't be a factor. If you are using virgin DSL then I suggest you remove the face plate from your BT box and connect your micro filter direct as there is certainly a bottle neck.
Also check how far you are from the exchange, to those sort of speeds on 2Mbps you should be at least 4 to 5Km from the exchange.
