im looking forward that sony ericson would release an application that will allow front cam of P1i to be use also for taking pictures like Nokia |

i use nokia for a long time, but never made pix wiht the front cam. it has crap res anyway, so it woult be nonsense imo, if on the back there is a 5 mp cam for example. its ok for video calls, but nothing else

The front-cam, not only on the P1i, but on all 3G phones, is low-quality and only useful for videocalling.
Why on earth would you want to take pics with it ?

I wonder the same. why enable a crappy camera when you just have a nice one on back of the phone?

front cam are good in taking close up pictures. |

Yeah, your right! I noticed that the front cam of p1i have this very good image when in close-up. Try it putting your thumb on the front cam then compare it in the rear cam. You can definitely tell the differences.
