I believe that almost 99% of the phones released in Japan have their 99% focus on TV capabilities, with their huge and impressive screens, and their underwater TV phones.
Seriously, are people there that obsessed with TV?

In Japan it's all about mobile entertainment. The big screen are not only good for TV but with their full WVGA resolution they're also good for web browsing.
I would really welcome those kind of screens in europe. Even the smart phones here don't have this kind of screens ( size and resolution) though it's starting to change. |

2000:1 contrast ratio and NTSC size doesn't have anything to do with web browsing.

I meant the wide screen part. With a resolution of 860x480 you don't have to scroll to the left or right of the web pages, not much anyway cause many sites have a width of about 900 pixels if I'm not mistaking.
And as I said it's all about multimedia and the TV is one of the biggest part of it. It was in the past and it will be in the future.
You shouldn't question good points about a phone just take it in and be happy. |
