But I'd be interested in finding out how to modify one:)

Get the latest version of SE Themes Creator and do it

1. Copy the theme file (xxx.utz) to your pc, right-click and select Open with Winzip.

2. Find the theme.xml file, right-click and select 'Edit'.
The file should be opened with Notepad.

3. Find the following string under 'condensedcolorscheme' (usually in the 10th row):

lightColor background=

4. Change the values here to:

lightColor background="#ffffff" text="#000000

5. Close the Notepad > Save > Update archive with this file (in Winzip) > 'Yes'

6. Copy the modified theme file back to your phone

7. Delete the previous version of the theme:

Control panel > Device > Themes > (scroll to the theme) > More > Delete

8. Open the file manager, install the modified theme and apply it.

9. Open the web browser and check...

This modification also changes the text color of the 'Search' button next to the Google search box on your home page from white to black.

Edit: Forget it guys.. It solves the issue with the web browser, but also affects text entry fields, where the text becomes invisible due to black text on a dark background (e.g. writing a new sms). I guess we have to live with it...

I just use the P1i default theme, most sites work fine. Only dark sites have problem.

What your problem,is happened to me with my P1i.
I love the dark themes, installed it,and have some difficulties when browsing internet with its standard browser (Opera 8.6).
Why don't you try new Java browser named Opera Mini v4.1,it's free to download.
It faster, the background never change, whatever themes you installed, and small RAM used,it will saves ur battery life.

just installed Opera mini 4.1 - seems to run fine and no problem with wrong way round highlighting

So... - problem circumvented

The new Opera 9.5 Beta is Waaaaayyyyy better - apart from in some fields the characters you are typing are in white with a white background - just a little tricky...

Agree Bro Arvinlad,it has beautiful interface, and much better than our standard browser.
But it use very large phone source when it running (about 24Mb)...very heavy, thus this drain the battery very fast.
Let us watch what poeople says bout it in another thread.
I decide to back to my OperaMini 4.1...ha haaa.

There just doesn't seem to be a solution. I love the dark themes and downloaded the modified Horizon and UIQBlackBuild themes.

The Browser thing is solved but now the calender is unreadable because it's white text on white background.

No luck, will have use the default theme...

I have a variation of the W960 theme which is fine with the calendar. P1i_Walkman.zip here...

- You will have to copy and paste the whole link I cannot get it to work as a 'clicky'

Another thing I have just noticed is in Handy Weather - when you input coordinates for a custom 'city' if you get a error entry it is white text on white background so you can't see what you've typed
