on the phone, just tap on Menu/ control panel/ device/ Sounds & alerts/ Buttons and screen.

Here you can do the rest. I customised mine like this. Didn't use any other applications.

hi, i know of that method, the thing is, that it doesnt give an option2browse for ur own sound find 2 replace the standard click or tone.. so if i can replace the default click sound on the phone, with my own custom sound then wen i select click for my screen tap sound, my custom sound will play..

or do u have an option 2browse for ur own sound file in the screen tap preferences?

afaik that's not possible. though it would be possible by hacking the C drive.

What i meant is exactly what u are trying to do. Like i said, i customised my sounds to play what i choose.

Dont know how i get this, but i do. checked this issue with a friend who bought a P1i as well and he doesn't get this option. Guess the guy i bought it from has done somefing to the mob.

I don't Know.

Anyways if i can do it, then surely there's a way.

@sanjeev

This sounds crazy as it would require a modification of the drop-down list and most probably an additional menu for the file selection.

Would you mind sharing a screenshot with us ?

It would be great if someone did a custom firmware, just like with the PSP, so we could connect the phone to the computer as mass storage selecting the desired drive - C,Z or mem card. It would be much easier to search / browse C and Z and discover / modify what's inside
