I apologise if this has been discussed elsewhere, I have searched but found nothing.

The flash LED on my son's N95 8Gb won't go out. It comes on as soon as the battery is inserted i.e. before boot up. It remains on when the phone is off, charging etc.

Can anyone advise, is this:
- a setting I'm missing that can be adjusted?
- a software bug?
- a hardware fault?

I'd be very grateful for any help!
Regards
David

Try to take the battery out for more than 15 minutes. If it keeps beeing on, just go to the place where you bought it or call nokia support.

The true will out... apparently a bottle of water (it was 'only' water) he was carrying in his bag leaked on it! I've been looking round for other posts on water damage and the white rectangular strip under the battery has turned reddy pink...

Many thanks for the swift replies, is the phone a lost cause or can it be repaired?

I don't think warranty is going to cover it. But you can always try.

Sorry to hear about this... I only wish I could get the LED on my N95 classic to stay on constantly now again so I could use it as a torch. Spose this shows it it should eventually be possible with the right software / (beverage!!).

Is it the orange or white colour LED?
