hi guys, im thinkin about gettin a moto z8 2moro, i live in a backwards country so no z9 or z10 yet n who knows how lkng til its launched here.. anyway.. ive read some reviews, im a current p1i user.. i heard nothing but gud about the moto.. any1 beg 2 differ? |

Yes, it's UIQ. You'll get HSDPA and lose touch screen support.
from my observations, sometimes it's better off not knowing. |

Also uses the same TI omap 2430..something chipset. So, reduced battery life, compared to the p1.

It Uses the same TI OMAP2420 chipset as the NOKIA N95, not sure about battery life of the Z8 though. Otherwise looks like a nice phone.
You will loose:
Touchscreen
Wi-Fi
QWERTY keyboard.
You will get:
Faster UI
HSDPA,EDGE
And some other nice Multimedia functions. I dont think its much of an upgrade from a P1 though.

The video- editing software sounds really neat, though. (I wish we had something like that for all UIQ devices. ..and a simple sound file editor  )

so i ordered it, they didnt have it in stock so i will only get it next week.. im takin it as an upgrade, jus a secondary phone.. im really waitin 4the X1, that will b my upgrade..
any uiq hacks 4the Z8 by the way? i jus hope i dnt get a networkbranded handset.. |
