Hi guys. I recently sold my K850 and bought the K810. Because the K850 simply sucked. Bad camera, software issues, cover issues, etc.

For me the K810 takes far better pics than the k850 but I would like to compare this 1 with N95 8GB/N82 camera. I suppose that Nokia would be better in this case but if anyone of you can post comparative pics between these phones I will really appreciate it.

Also, How many of you guys use protective cover on your phones???
if you do, please tell if it is the hard crytal case or the silicone case.

Thanks in advance!

i agree that k810 is easier to get good pics with then k850.. there you right. but you can get good pics (often better) with k850 to, it need just a little more job. also, (sadly) k810 have a weeker flash, i cant get the same strong flash pics with my k810 like my k850.

overall k810 have a very very good camera. like i said, the best camera to just point & shoot.

ps. k810 bestpic is still number one (dont ask me why)
or what about this bestpics i took last summer

Great shots as usual Plankgatan
(Thought I'd get in before you got flamed )

IMO the choice between K-series and N-series isn't about the camera but whether or not you want the extra functionality Wifi brings. The difference between the cameras wouldn't be a big as having/missing out on Wifi if Wifi is important to you.

@carkitter:

very well said, mate! the only difference all boils down to that extra N feature: wi-fi.. camera-wise, i don't think the extra pixel rate on the N would not make much difference when it comes to photo-quality.. basically, such quality actually depends on the one doing the shoot

- - - - - - -

K-series have already met the minimum pixel requirement in order to come up with quality snaps.. the extra pixels would not make additional improvement anymore (unless you take into consideration the size in which you will be printing your snaps)..

either way, both should take very good snaps

Comparing N95 8Gb to K810 is like comparing apples to pears: You can't! Imo nothing easily beats Carl Zeis optics. The K810 does however take excellent pics compared to N95 simply because (imo) 5mp cam fones still struggle with the higher resolution (hence the K850 nightmare).

@Plankgatan
I was at the local mall this morning and picked up a K850i brochure with some interesting claims in it. Without wanting to start a flame-war and as I trust you as being one of the few capable of extracting top-notch shots from SE's best camphone and finally, in light of this statement above:

... could you please comment on these claims in the brochure:

" Introducing the Sony Ericsson K850i Cyber-shot(TM) phone with 5.0 megapixels. Just like a digital camera, the K850i is really easy to use, so all you have to do for great photos is just point and shoot.

So whether you're going around the world or going out for the night, why clutter your life by carrying a phone, camera and music player? Keep it elegantly simple and let the K850i tell your story for you.

Better Pictures
With a suite of Cyber-shot(TM) imaging tools including auto focus, image stabiliser and a 16x digital zoom, perfect shots are guaranteed time after time."

Personally I feel your comments are right and SE's marketing department have led owners to believe that perfect shots are easier to achieve than they actually are, hence the many threads of dissatisfied owners. And ironically, the K850i is ultimately the best SE camphone if not the simplest.

The second one is fuzzier but it looks more natural. The first one has too much sharpening applied. The more I see of K800 shots the more I like N95...

@Plank
Hey do you still own the Nokia N82????
Cuz I´m planning on buy that 1 on Monday. But I have been researching on the internet and on some forums and N82 supposedly has a dull screen. (which means not bright enough)

Since you owned a N82, is that true????
And what about battery life???? Does it last at least 2 days????

For me N82 is lot of better (lens and flash xenon).
Love or hate me...

Nokia 5120 -> Nokia 6120 -> SE T200 -> Motorola V800 -> SE W800 (stay with my wife) - > SE K800 (stay with my mom) -> Nokia N82 Silver -> Nokia N82 Black Edition - Firmware v30.0.019 -> What is the next??.
