I am finding that when I run this one - I am getting an error and 'backup cancelled by mobile phone' message :?
1st time this error occurred...

I got that message too with PC suite 1.4.4 while restoring unified inbox. Apparently restoration takes place only halfway in my case whereby my data takes up C:/ drive but doesn't appear in messaging

I really wish that SE would sort this issue out. PC suite really is a bloomin joke these days, I have a p1 and can't properly back it up. Thanks SE! |

why SE does not come out with a PC Suite for MAC

Just re-installed 1.4.4 and it's doing the backup fine...
Maybe 1.5.8 can't cope with the hacked mods to the phone (by accident or design?  )

If backup or restore any of these fails
try out this remedy it works for most of the people
import existing backups to some folder and delete all previous backups from pc suit and now try doing backup or restore |

Ha. Flagship business phone and I have to mess around deleting old backups or removing registry keys? do what?
Besides, i'd be happy just to have the damn thing working at all, my pc suite has just stopped seeing my p1 at all in the backup app. Blooming well connects in everything else, just not in the backup app.

Its working fine on my work PC with Windows Xp, its not working so fine on my PC with Vista...and i have been making all the PC suite updates...

Hmm well I'm on vista ultimate, but I can't understand why every other app in the suite can see my p1, but backup can't.
I have to admit its getting on my nerves. |

I think that might work... but where are the backups stored? I can't find them 
I installed 1.5.8 on a fresh install of Vista Ultimate x64 on the same machine and it works fine so there doesn't seem tobe any problem with the PC harware or hacked phone...
