Just wanted to know if O2's phones are all unlocked. I am about to buy a phone from someone in the UK who has a phone that is on O2 and he says that O2 does not lock their phones.
I think that I recall reading somewhere on here that O2 does not lock their phones. Could some one please enlighten me on whether or not it is true. Are all O2 phones unlocked? Could I go ahead and just purchase?

O2-UK CONTRACT phones are unlocked, but pay as you go ones are not unlocked |
