Hey guys,

Anyone experiencing hanging problems with their P1i? Mine sometimes cannot receive calls/SMS all of a sudden..Phone applications can be opened and backlight/touchscreen works as well..Just that calls/SMS can't be made or received..Also the off button won't function when this happens..Have to remove the battery and restart..Could it be a firmware/bug problem?

I'm certain this is a hardware issue sadly....had the same problem with my p990, tried everthing I could think of for months - it will reset itself if you attempt to enter flight mode, and then back into phone mode, then wait for it to realise it has a problem. Also, you can shut it down without pulling the battery by holding the power button down for 10secs or so. The best way to keep it working when you want it to is to put it into flight mode/shut it down when you go to sleep.

It was for this problem that I wanted to be able to schedule it to go into flightmode automaticaly, but unfortunately 'magic profiles' is not available for uiq3, but now with all the hacking and modding that's going on, it can only be a matter of time...

The problem people have when sending it for repair is that it will behave itself perfectly for the engineers, but I have heard of people managing to get their phone swaped by being insistent. I personally just lived with it as I could get it to run for around 12hrs, but it was certainly far from ideal.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news...
