Hi yall.

I am testing games for the emame on P800 and am wondering which games you guys have gotten to work so far? Unfortunately far from all games on the list published at: http://www.yipton.demon.co.uk/emamep800/latest/gamelist.txt
seem to work. It may have something to do with the mameversion being a beta, but I am not sure.

This is my list so far:
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Perfect:

DigDug
Do! Run Run
Donkey Kong Junior
Galaga
Gyruss
Super Zaxxon
Time Pilot
1943

--------------------------------------------------------------------
Perfect but not controllable:

Arkanoid (Can't move the pad)
Arkanoid II - Revenge of Doh (See above)
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Almost starts: (Black screen)

Side Arms
Dr. Solomon
Tempest
Psychic 5
Xevious
--------------------------------------------------------------------

Apart from this no vector games (e.g. Asteroids) seem to work, you get a message: Failed to start graphic engine

If you have any other games that work, please add a message to this thread.

How do you control the games? What are your buttons?

I was able to install EMAME successfully on my unit.

However, I can't install any ROM file.

The P800 explorer prevents me from drag-and-dropping any ROM file to the Document/Rom folder.

Anyone else experienced the same problem?

Can someone please post a step by step guide to Mame's and Roms please. Do these take up less space than doom?

Specifically, I think everyone would like to know:

1)how to install a mame and which mame to install
2) where to download roms
3) how to install these roms

Cthulu:

I had the same problem...

simply paste it in the document folder...
the files will then be located at the unfiled folder...
then drag and drop them to the Rom folder...

I can not explain why, but it works for me!

Take care! =)
