I understand the n95 8gb has just become available on the Orange network. I would love to hear from anyone who has got it. I am interested in hearing to what degree orange has fiddled with things, and slapped their branding and 'good ideas re layout' all over the phone! |

Hi guys
I've just taken the gamble and upgraded on Orange (N82 hopefully arrives tuesday) but after reading a discussion going on over at AVforums other people are starting to receive their Nseries phones on Orange and the early impressions are the firmware isn't that bad (hence my gamble at ordering blind so to say) anyway read the full comments here.

Well, I've also decided to take the early plunge after all.
Ordered my n95 8gb today, for delivery on Tuesday.
Fingers crossed Orange haven't done too much harm. |

I'm not certain I can...I have Line 2 + a separate fax number on my Orange account. Could de-branding effect this in anyway? |

Hi Wuz
Just picking up on the early comments over at AVforums & the inititial views are there's no need to debrand (for the moment) as the N82 comes with the latest firmware installed and the Orange branded interface doesn't restrict/slow down operation half as bad as previous orange branded handsets!

Thanks for the pointer... hopefully the N95 will be as unaffected as the n82 appears to be. Will see tomorrow. |

Hi Mr[Nik]
I can highly recommend the SU-8W Nokia Bluetooth keyboard as it allows full navigation of the device without the need to touch the N95 at all.
When i had my N95 8GB i had the keyboard app and Bluetooth running on the phone so all i had to was turn on the Keyboard and it was good to go, the keyboard turns off on closing it. It also didn't kill the battery by much either, actually i still have mine in case i get a non QWERTY Nokia in the future.
Marc

@Dogmann
thanks for the advice! im already missing the touch screen and qwerty from my old p990 but this will proberbly bridge the gap!
am i right in assuming that orange have taken out msn messenger from the phone in thier branded firmware ?
Is there any way of speeding up data tranfer to the phone im using usb 2.0 and it feels rather painful!

I've had the Orange N95 8gb for 24 hours - I have to say its fantastic and haven't appreciated a phone so much since my old t68i.
Delighted to report that Orange branding & customisatrion is minimal from what I can tell thus far. |
