K850 VS N82: What's better? |
razec Joined: Aug 20, 2006 Posts: > 500 From: Mars PM |
Guys, we all know how superior N82 is over K850 specs wise. We don't need to constantly reiterate stating N82 is better than K850 or whatsoever. The main thing here lies on the personal user experience that the two offers on the target user. if the author of this thread finds K850 well fitting his lifestyle then he should go for it, otherwise go to N82. there is generally no better phone that fit litterally all of us that's why we have lots of phone varieties to choose from. |

N82 is better because:
1. An open OS means limitless possibilities with limitless apps ranging from IR remote control to real business solutions such as project management tools etc)
2. More stable & tested platform as compared to K850
3. Looks more exclusive and value for money if you're into that kinda thing
4. Camera is arguably better if not relatively the same with K850 (I personally think it's better)
5. More fun with limitless uses as compared to K850, in short, whatever K850 has, N82 has and so much more (games, multimedia functions, etc)

If your requirements are to be able in a whole day to shot over 100 photos (with a good camera) and to have several telephone calls (with very good quality) k850 is the best.
I could have the best cameraphone but if the battery doesnt last sufficiently i need two devices or two full charged bettery.

How many more of these threads must we see. N82 rules all end of story. I personally didnt like it but in terms of functionality it wipes the floor with the k850 in just about every way....no wait a mintue. In every way!
The only thing the k850 has going for it is that its cheaper.

Symbian is much more unlogic then Java (A200), and it much slower and also need more battery-capacity
sure, N82 have easier to take "normal" pics then K850, (you dont need to fix with settings as much like K850), BUT I and many more get awesome pics with my K850, so i have no regrets about some easy settings
K850 camera produce better details, no doubt about that.
and N82 produce thicker colors.

I played around with a N82 today. It's not slow at all, but it does use more battery capacity which can be a pain.

plangktan are you trying to say that navigating around a S60 phone is slower than an A200? lol Serious? Of course not its so much faster.
K850 has been nothing but a big problem. The countless threads are proof of that.

I dont know n82, but my n95 is 3 times slower than my k850 and 4 times slower than my w810i.
Is the 1st time I use a Symbian phone and I dont think is fast at all!!!

With all respect, thats bullshit. Go to a Symbian forum and see the countless threads about the N82.

@coquito
Well i suggest you take your N95 in to a service centre then as there is obviously something very wrong with it. As since the latest firmwares it has got even faster and everyone knows the K850 with the new A200 platform is slower than previous K series devices. As is mentioned in lots of threads on this forum even by those that have good K850's and like them so your experience is not the same as for most people.
