Tips for a Faster T68i |

We all know that our t68i's are a bit slow, especially for old firmware versions. But here's a workaround if you want more speed, but sacrificing the aesthetic look on your screen.
One day i just got irritated waiting for the menus to popup when I press it or when typing an sms, it just takes too long to go to the next character. I also got pissed when I can’t record longer Audio due to lack of memory.
Well here's what I did that I THINK, made my phone faster and got a bigger free memory.
1 ) remove your background picture
2 ) disable your screensaver picture
3 ) use the CLASSICAL theme, which is the default theme
4 ) put all your contacts and numbers only in the phone memory, not in the sim memory
5 ) do not save sms in your sim card
6 ) always keep your sms messages to a minimum, backup all read sms in your Phone Book & Text Message Manager Software
7 ) turn off bluetooth when not needed
8 ) disable Greeting Startup
9 ) leave at least 300kb free space in your phone
10) you can change your font to small so that you don't have to scroll all the way down under long menus, same goes while using wap or reading sms
11) use the slide volume up/volume down when scrolling or while using wap
12) under sms T9, disable the option "Show Candidates"
13) make a fresh reboot once you experience lag in your phone, better yet remove your battery once in a while for a hard reboot.
14) use the alternate scroll while reading sms by using the * and # keys
15) use the Shortcuts menus
16) and lastly, my rule of the thumb, "remove all unneeded themes, pictures, melodies, mms templates, old sms, old contact nos., and etc., so that your phone can have the extra memory for it to breaaathhhhh.
well these steps are just my own observations and beliefs, I know it hasn't been tested scientifically, but somehow based on my experience, my t68i got a bit faster.

Yeah, do all thet things and t68i will loose all it's charm
Not worth, at least for me, to sacrifice all the things i like in t 68i just to scroll menus a few miliseconds faster. |

cool, overall ive got 3 custom themes plenty of pics and 73 ringtones and ive still got 345kb space.
i think the t68i looks stupit when you have the deafault text size, as soon as i got my t68i i changed the text size to smallest |
