CHECKMATE
This is my second short film, produced for one of my university projects. I was given the challenge to produce a film inspired by the poet Jorge Luis Borges.
The film is based on one of his poems "Chess" where chess is being compared to a battle rather than a game. The poem describes the main player as a prisoner of its own game, meaning that no one is in control, and the pieces have a mind of there own, fighting there own battle.
For those having difficulties understanding the story of the film. The voice that talks at the beginning is the MAIN CONTROL the ultimate power. at the end a chessboard appears out of no where, it signifies that the player is being controlled by a game that his not the winner of. CHECKMATE his the winner, the ultimate control and power of the game. Hope that helped.

You just got to watch your levels when recording sound...I would have got a fail if any part of my films had peak distortion...But apart from that you had creative shot composition and the film had good timing, it flowed really well.
