Can't decide between w890 and T650 |

Hi guys I just can't decide between these two phones. I don't care about walkman software as I only ever listen to the radio and I don't care about the camera as I have a Canon Ixus but what I do care about are:
1) looks
2) Build quality
3) Ergonomic keys for quick, easy texting
4) Battery life
I've narrowed my choice down to the W890 and the T650. I know one is a year old and one is new, and the differences between A100 and A200 - I am just after your opinions on the four areas above. Based only on this criteria, which would you opt for?
By the way, the colours I am comparing are black, for both.
Thanks. |

T650.
W890 is a fugly looking phone and if you dont care about music there really isnt any point in getting W890; not that it actually excels in that area anyway.

Have any of you used the w890? What's it like to text with? Also, that nav pad looks tiny - especially moving up and down... is it easy to use? I think it would bug me if it's fiddley like mine on the W910. |

Hmmm... Honestly if you're coming from a W910i, I see no reason to upgrade.
Not to these two models anyway. They are so similar in spec really. Any differences are pretty minor, except the W910i has a noticeably bigger screen and accelerometer.

ohh..
I did own a T650 also, did try out my m8s W890.
If you still has W910, then keep it.. most same phone, W890 with better cam and slim candy bar..
If you like slide, stay with W910, if not then change..

Most definitely the W890. Saying that there are no pros other than the music player is BS.
I've been playing with them both for review purposes for about a month each, and W890 is without question the one to go for.
But as the others have been saying, the W910 isn't that much different from the W890, so unless you're unhappy with the W910, there's no reason to get a new phone.

w890 i sooooooooooooooooo much better.
A200 platform (world greatest platform )
3.0
better camera, although it lack AF, (just look at the pics)
HSPDA
and a lot more
-------------------------
ps. w910 is more beatiful then w890 (and have sense me & motion sensor), BUT w890 have a better camera
WHY couldnt put in a great 3.2MP camera (with AF of course) inside W910. should be greatest phone ever

As you're ONLY interested in the 4 points mentioned(not those that others seems to be quoting), then please, consider this:
1) Looks - if you're under 25, and everyone you know has youthful phones(xpress music, etc...) then you'll probably prefer W890.
As someone who can't stand branding plastered all over my devices, it's not for me. And when I'm out for a smart evening(where many of my associates have 8800Arte, Porsche P'9521, Vertu, etc), my black T650 STILL gets glances, even now(I'd be laughed out of the places with a walkman phone)......
2) Build quality - W890 has all-metal covers, T650 is 2/3 metal, 1/3 plastic(for aerial, if you didn't know, Nokia learned this with 8800)...W890 feels classier, however, if you actually strip down both phones, they are both built equally well. So I'd say this point is a dead heat - tie!
3) Ergonomic keys - W890's keypad has bigger keys for texting, whereas T650 has K850-style, so this one's in 890's favour. Softkeys are similar, T650 might have the slight edge on Dpad(nice size for me), but overall, for texting, W890 will be easier for most people......
4) Battery life - on this, people I know with W890, say it manages a couple of days. Well, T650(even my prototype one) can easily manage 3-4days, on a 20 mAh less powerful battery. So, not really a contest......
Lastly, black T650 is like black W900 - they will appreciate in value, due to relative rarity...whereas there are already hundreds of W890s on Ebay...and it's prices already reflect this(easy to get for <£200). Plus of course, T650 runs A100(which has 'back' key, and no green/red call buttons, unique these days), and in comparison tests, still seems faster than any A200 device, W890 included.
Hope this helps your choice!

W890's keypad is small and if you have big fingers forget about quick texting.
I press wrong key many times and i have average size fingers. With w880 i ididn;t have this problem but anyway slowly slowly i get used to it.
Other than that the phone is very good with stable firmware.
Battery life is better than T650. I used both |

@Aware,
W890 easily manages more than a few days. My review model lasted 4 days between charges.
