I have a T68m, upgraded to RD5007 and with a white cover, so naturally, I bought a white battery. At first, everything was okay, and the battery was recognised as an original. However, after a month, the phone started saying that it was charging an alien battery. Any idea on why the phone would change its mind?

Yeah, but there're some horror stories on how alien batteries would ruin the phone... are these posted by SE staff wanting to make us poorer?

Also, don't get the remaining talk/standby time with alien batteries. I noticed that this happened after I used a non-original charger. Could this have turned it into an alien?

Thanks!

Another question I wanted to ask was will using compatible in-car chargers kill the batteries? Several phone dealers have asked me to stay away from them, because the tend to ruin the batteries very quickly. I sometimes wonder if the voltage is stepped down properly or is there some other reason why they should be avoided. The original ones are like 8 times the price...

From my experience, compatible t68i batter only can last for 1 hour talk time because it made of li-ion cell

I had a black color battery (my phone's an upgraded T68m) and I found that the talk time is the same as the white compatible one. Bluetooth is on all the time and the battery (both) still lasts about 3 days with normal usage.

BTW, what's the cheapest price on an original white T68i battery in Malaysia or on the net?

Yah, what is the deal. I was using my old charger on my t637 on my knew s700i and everything was fine. Now since i lost that one, I poped out the new charger that came with the s700i and now it says its charging an alien battery. Worst yet the battery indicator never shows it as fully chargerd.

Alien battery.
If it weren't for bad lucks, I would have no lucks at all.

Back on topic : Still, if /// introduced it, should have fixed the problem of this message randomly appearing to trouble the customers. From what I just read, even phones as new as the s700i are having this trouble.

Bad Job

Just stash the batt in freezer and use them after a couple of hours.
