bit of a random question really was just thinking would be cool if someone sent me a text in say spannish i could receive it in English any app that could do that??

Why not tell google about your idea..? - would be very cool indeed, as it is you can always copy the text into their 'translate' web page:

http://translate.google.com/translate_t

I guess to make it an automatic process, there would need to be some kind of language detection routine built in to it, and it would be made exteemely troublesome whn ppl strtd usng txt spk...lol.... So the database would have to include all known shorthand versions of actual words, in all the different languages. Phew! - Sounds like a lot of work!

But then I suppose such a thing could be made wiki style, in that users could correct errors and omissions.......hmmm.....food for thought....

I'm not sure if there any services doing this yet but google reveals a patent for such a system
