I say this is a problem its not really a problem. I have a 6300 as a spare phone now but someone i know also has one. But for some reason the display on his 6300 is far brighter than mine and you can really notice it next to each others phones. Both phones even have same software 5.50 but his has far higher contrast and brighteness and i find it a little strange. Has anyone else ever had this with this phone or any other for that matter. The 6300 normally has one of the brightest displays on the market. Also the brightness is not user changeable.

Yes I've just tried this on the two 6300's I've got at the moment and side by side there is a noticable difference in screen brightness, same again both are running the same firmware, mabye the screens are from different manufacturers. One thing I have notice is that the one with the less bright screen has better battery life.

Is there nowhere to adjust the brightness on the phone? Maybe one one is set a little higher.

No you cant adjust brightness it still is crisp and bright but mine is not as bright as someone else i know who has one. My one which is slightly dimmer does have pretty good battery life unless internet is used. Although brightness is less contrast is better and blacks and whites look deeper. Very strange though i doubt it the screen is from another maker im sure Nokia make their own screens or am i wrong.
