Just playing COD4 online and the screen froze. Went to power off, and yes, the 3 RROD were flashing.
Had the console 16 months with no probs, and then this happens, as GTA4 is on pre order.
I hate XBOX, well not really.
Now to pack the box up, and wait for pickup.

Well at least your not paying for your repair...
Some of us tried to induce the RRoD with a few towels just to skip paying for a repair.

Sorry but that really is rubbish, it *might help* but if your xbox has the cheap solder they used, then it's just inevitable.
What usually happens is the heat in the xbox gets too hot, and slowly melts away the solder connecting joints, meaning the joins no longer connect, causing a hardware failure.
This might help some cases, but wouldn't bother myself.......that and the fact RROD is covered under warranty, and putting that in your xbox will void that.

Considering it is only a fiver after all...
And apparently it's due to warping not solder melting. But I could be wrong.
