There is no rubber around the battery but there is a rubber gasket around the battery holder. It isn't easy to see, but it is there and it is obviously contributing to the water resistance of the phone.
I wouldn't test the water resistance of the phone, it is splashproof at best.

It is tricky to get SEUS to recognise the phone, you have to make sure you have the SEUS USB drivers, you have to have removed the battery and replaced it, you have to have C pressed as you plug the fastport in and keep it pressed until the SEUS app tells you to release (usually between about 5 and 15 seconds later) |

Sound quality is fine (tested on 320kbps with a big headset), volume output is one of the best (standard), but personally I would like a higher output level on the headset. I'd like to know if it can be modded already? K800i sounds a lot better with W880 sound drivers and DRC off, G900 is a LOT louder with SWmail's SoundModLite. I got used to that so I really can't wait to "fix" my C702.

What's the point of VGA video playback on a QVGA display?

it wud make a difference.. vga resolution wud be clearer than qvga...
although the pixels wud be reduced the difference wud be barely noticible. but it wud be significantly better than qvga |

The c702's video playback is perfectly fine, i'm even using 176*144 3gps , streched to fullscreen theylook perfectly fine, so qvga @ 30fps would look great, if your buying this phone just for video playback, then surely a nokia n series or iphone or some crap would suit you better, the C702 was built the for the camera and the camera is does very well.

Hi, i'd like to know:
1) Does the keyboard soften up a little with some time of use?
2) Is the D-Pad uncomfortable or does it become easier to use with time?
3) Can Videos be played fullscreen in landscape mode?
4) Does the media section differ in something else than SenseME from the W Series? (i.e.: Playlist composing, music player interface)
Thanks in advance and sorry for the many questions posted at once...

The keypad doesnt soften up but your get used to it
After 2years of joysticks the d-pad felt great to use,
Yes everything can be viewed in fullscreen landscape mode,
Yep the media differs theres no senseme but its got everything you'd actually use, and sound is good.

Many thanks Number1!!! I really appreciate that you took the time to answer... so i would just be missing SenseME (I must admit that that feature kind of attract me...)... Sound is good, via the speaker, the headphones or both?...
Have you answered a call by mistake (unknowingly) while the phone is in your pocket?, or does the keyboard lock prevents this from happening (this issue really worries me, coming from a clamshell form factor)...
Thanks again...

The keyboard lock prevents that quite well. Never had one happening to me actually. |
