Has anyone else with UK firmware performed the CDA change and then moved to the latest world firmware (R9N002) and had problems with the LCD screen going extremely dim randomly? The phone was ok for 7 days but it seems to do this at least once a day. The colours go funny as well being dim the resolution seems to be worse. The touchscreen reacts really slowly and the only way to sort is to turn the phone off or if that doesnt work pull the battery out. The first time this occured i had left the phone in the door pocket of my car overnight and it was about -2C outside. Has anyone experienced this before? Any thoughts? is it a dodgy LCD or is it the firmware?

Yeah I have this problem on mine as well and I think it was the R9N Firmware did something to the phone,
I sent it to get repaired and the touchscreen was replaced, but when I got the phone back, the problem is still there, the phone is acting very strange, turning off and becoming unresponsive.
I downgraded to R9M using davinci, but problem is still there.
Im going to ring SE tomorrow and ask for a replacement, Glad im not the only one with this problem.

What about pressing the volume buttons, leave the alarm progress bar intact or increase to your desired level, decrease the volume on ringtone and message alerts to 0, and voila. That wasn't hard now, was it?

well never thought of this too :/ damm my brain feels slow lol.

If ur screen brightness is high then u can decrease it to say 50% or less to enjoy better battery life... The display is still very bright at 50% too...

I changed my CDA back to the original one and updated to the UK firmware but the problem is still there. I personally dont think it is software related. I think it is a dodgy touchscreen. I have also had on two seperate occassions the phone deciding to restart itself it has come up with the comment "the phone has restarted to improve performance"!. I am going to hang on to mine until after xmas and then send it in for repair. Good luck with trying to get a repalcement as SE UK are absolutely usesless and I have sent a 3 page letter telling them that!

heres a question now i'v been using the g900 and i'v noticed if I open stuff it remains open and I have to goto the task manager and manually shut each application...now I know the g900 has lots of ram but I still find it annoying (and also I think battery life would become less)...what key is it to Quit (not minimise) the application once we are done? like if I want to get out of messaging what key do I press cause the back key definately isn't it.

I normally use Task Manager. For exampLe, to get out of messaging, tap more, Task Manager and then, End. You can access the Task Manager from any application by taping More.

They probably have a better chance of fixing it than SE!

I am seeing a small blue envelope shaped icon next to the battery level on my g900 from time to time. Ican get rid of it by restarting the phone but touching it does nothing. I think it has something to do with my network but am not sure. Has anyone else seen this or know what it is?
