HD drive not showing up |

I installed a new hard disk, SATA one. Its connected properly, windows recognizes it but its not showing up in my windows explorer so i cant copy anything into it. What to do?

you need to go into admin tools in control panel and click on device management. select the disk and initialise it. you can then format it to ntfs or whatever you want

Go to Disk manager and check whether it shows there
On your Desktop Right Click My Computer -> Select Manage -> Select Disk Manger. And there look for your HDD. And right click the HDD for creating a New Partition.
If it is not available there you have to go to your BIOS and check if it is recognized by your Motherboard or not.
