I was wondering if there was anyway to use the IR on my computer and send images and ringtones to my T300 through the IR?

I found a way to sync it with outlook but wanted to send rings and images...

If you're using one of the newer Windows version you can just right-click on the file and select "send to IR".

That copies the picture/tone/whatever to the phone.

Oh guys you will newer learn: if you have IR adapter there is no need to install or use additional software! Windows (from version 98 and above) has the native support for IR!
Just establish the IR connection and send files you want. It's sooooooooo easy...

You can definitely get IR adapters for desktop PCs (or notebooks without built-in IR). They're usually USB and just plug straight in. Sorry I can't give you any links to UK shops (I am in Oz) but most large online tech shops will have a couple to choose from. [addsig]

That is not entirely true. Yes, if you turn on IR and put it in the viewrange of the IR lens of the compuer WILL "find new hardware" and install Bill Gate's version of the drivers necessary to communicate with the phone, but those drivers are generic drivers and DO NOT support the protocols needed to enable HSCSD which T68, T39 and some other phones can handle. For that, you will need to install the drivers that came with the CD BEFORE you activate the IR on the phone. If you don't you will get serious problems convincing windows that the driver on the CD should replace the existing one in the system.
