Orange phoned me and offered me one last week as a free upgrade as my current contract is up soon, 7 working days to try it, keep it or dump it. I took it .
I dont like it, the video is terrible, the picture viewing is non intuitive, I dont need gps- I can map read although its a good gadget, its too big, the handwriting recognition is no good, the battery goes down quick, the sound quality is crap, I cant get on with windows mobile, the built in video is crap, shall I send it back? . The 7 days is up Monday.
Its only when you try something else that you realise SE have got things right with the p1.
I've been waiting for Orange to get some decent phones for an upgrade, my last one from them was the p990 and I replaced that with the p1 at my own cost last year because they dont do it.
I love the p1 for its complicated simplicity- if you know what i mean. When are SE going to release a faster symbian phone with gps built in ? |

Thanks myth, so Orange once again cripple a good phones functionality with their own customisations.
It seems there is a lot you can do to TYTN's, debranding, simfreeing !, customisations etc, a lot to learn.
I'll keep it then alongside my p1 and toy with it, afterall I'm staying with Orange and its a freebie i was not expecting.

I have spent $$$ to get one.
So if you got yours for free on contract, appreciate it & enjoy...
Yes, the video driver sucks, but other than that the TyTN II is still the best pda phone on the market which has yet to be beaten.
