bluetooth signal too weak...how can I increase this? |

After days of trying to work out why mobile phone monitor or Mobile Agent weren't recognising my phone connection, I have discovered that although the serial port on COM 4 is connected, if I go into properties it is too weak. I have a Belkin Bluetooth adaptor on a laptop. I've tried configuring to other ports with no success and I thought it might have been 'cos I was going throgh a USB hub, but still same when connected directly to my computers USB port. I've moved away from alll other equipment and have put phone right next to port with no change in the signal strength. I've even tried 2 different types of software with it. Belkins own and Tecom.
Is there any other way I can increase my signal strength?

Patty, you might have a defective USB BT unit. Ask for a replacement. =) |

Did you get it working? My D-link adaptor is doing the same.
