To all fans of COD,
apparantly the 5th game is going to be set in WW2 again. Thats going to ruin everything. The shooter gaming industry is overloaded with WW2 games, yet we may go back there again?
Not only that, online will also be restricted. In the 4th game, people loved using air strikes, all the high tech infantry etc, if it goes back to WW2 we will be restriced to what, the Tommy Gunn? |

I'll buy it..man its CoD its already a trademark..and in WWII you can call airstrikes via the HUGE i mean HUGE radios on the back of your allies... couldnt wait to see this...because in WWII the storyline is better rather than the 4th.
*EDIT* CoD 2 has online game play...

Yeah, I don't see it as bad move as such. The games industry is also saturated with high-tech shooters and there's something about the simplicity of WWII shooters that makes them such fun to play IMO.

So long as its still a shooter..i suppose ppl will be happy..if the graphics in cod4 are anythhng to go by..cod5 will be killer imo

COD 5 is not gonna be made by Infinity Ward but made buy the same guys who brought us COD 3 (imo the only bad COD game).
So I’ll be skipping number 5 and wait for 6 which is confirmed that Infinity Ward are making and more than likley to be set in morden day. |

Am with joebmc..COD5 will be a skip for me aswell..imo the WWII concept in shooters has been done to death..and it was high time new times of warfare were explored..COD 4 was something fresh which gave a new direction to the FPS genre...
and anyway there are a lot of other options in terms of shooters in the coming 2 years..resistance 2, killzone 2, geow 2 (PC?) to name a few...

its cause a diff company is making it, and perhaps rushing it a bit, and infinity ward are making cod6, which should be back to modern warfare..

COD3 online is v poor! COD2 was amazing and COD4 is great but that gamestyle and play with a WWII setting would be heavenly!

and the CoD 3 dont have a PC version..so i have to play on my crappy PS2 and they're so called "interactive fighting"(the one an enemy will get close to you and like submission or something) is SCRIPTED that sucks i want to do it everytime haha!

Yay WW2 again!!!!
I hope this time they do Omaha Beach. They did it on Medal of Honor but that was crap compared to when COD came along. WW2 is the best imo.
