Hi, I have a Bluetooth USB dongle supporting bluetooth spec V1.1. I was just wandering if the dongle could be firmware or software upgraded to bluetooth spec v2.0 once the specs are released? This isnt exactly a question about what firmware to use but a more general one regarding whether bluetooth specs are upgradable through firmware or software updates or is it more hardware linked. Like USB 2.0 specs cannot simply be flashed onto current USB 1.1 hardware to make it 2.0 due to hardware limitations. Is it the same with Bluetooth?
Any comments from knowledgeable sources would be greatly appreciated.  |
