Hi!
I am thinking of getting a dedicated MP3 video player. I looked at these today.
I can play mp3's and video on my TyTn II but the battery drains fast...
and I can also play on my DS-Lite and my Canon M300 Japanese/English/Japanese dictionary but I don't think I can build up playlists.
I would like to hear the opinions of anyone with hands on experience of iPod Classic 160Gb and iPod Touch 16Gb/32Gb ?
I looked at Archos units but they did seem to support Japanese. Much of my music is Japanese so I want the titles and artists names to display.
And yes, I have been searching here as well as Googling
Thanks !

DO IT! Ok i may be slightly drunk, but i've used an iPhone for months now and there essencially the same and i can say that the interface is amazing if you regret it i'll eat my hat (would have to dig one out first)
Seriously you'll love it, the accelerometer is fantastic when viewing albums and you'll have wifi built right in, go for it and see how you get on.

I have a jailbroken touch. I can reccommend the web browsing but music I can really recommend. With all other iPods you can stick your hand in your pockey and just press the clickwheel to change track :/ I really dont like taking out my £200+ touch on the bus.
As for the classic.

I've just copied and pasted some japanese wording onto a song and synced with my iPhone;

Hi everybody!

I think Japanese is OK. I can see Japanese, Traditional and Simplified Chinese and Korean in the language menu!

Hi!
Anyone know the best place to buy an iPod Touch ?
I am in London this week and am thinking to go to Tottenham Court Road, but I think the prices are no different from Comet or Curry's !
I see The Link website has agood deal on the 32Gb Touch ! £295.45

if 8gb will do why not just get the iphone 8gb for £169? you don't have to use the phone functionality.
TCR is no where near as good as it used to be

Surely the 8GB touch is cheaper than that? And if not using the phone functionality, then wouldn't it be a waste of money to pay for it?
I'm not sure about the price of a touch in the UK, but I'm just saying.

£199 for the touch or £169 for the phone. |

Naturally I wouldn't have suggested it if the iphone was more expensive than the equivalent touch, but at the mo there is £100 off the 8gb iphone in uk making it cheaper than the 8gb touch

Ok sorry about that. Just wondered as it doesn't quite seem right that the iPhone is cheaper! But I'm way across the world and we don't even get the iPhone so I can't really know. Sorry mate.
