Is there a > * < < * > * (K750) I can perform on W960?

yup...the back cover tends to be creaky...don't think that it would be the previous owner's fault tho..

he wanted to know about potential problems with a used w960. I use the folded paper method myself.

Squeaky battery cover is a problem for the W960.However. You don't need to put paper in there.Buy a Sony Ericsson BST-40 battery and replace the standard one with it.You'll never get a squeaky battery cover again and you will also gain an extra day's use minimum.

This would also interest me since the battery cover of my g900 is creaking a little bit and additional battery life wouldn't be bad.

BST-40 won't fit in the G900.
