Hi

I received new settings from O2 and it has changed a setting that auto resizes camera pictures.

When I take a picture, I used to click on the envelope to send as MMS when reviewing the picture, this would auto resize the photo and then display the picture in MMS.

But since the new settings, when I click on the envelope to send as mms, an option appears that says "The picture may be too large for the recipient to view. Resize it?" and then gives me Yes or No as the options.

I know that its not a big deal, but would like to get the setting back or know how to switch it back on.

Does anyone know how to do this?

Thanks

To be honest, I always thought this was the function of the phone and not the data settings. Mine has always given me the Yes/No prompt!

Request the MMS settings fm SE's website.

It should work and allow you to change the resize settings of your mms account.

Tried that, but the text message never arrives, I'll contact SE site to get them to send it to me.

Thanks

Emailed SE and they don't seem to have a clue. Just refer me back to O2. (

I really don't get the problem...

What happens if you go to:
Control Panel->Messaging->MMS Account->More->Advanced Settings->Creation Mode

And set "Creation mode" to "Restricted".

This will make the phone automatically resize all images that you send by MMS.

Hi

I tried that, and I get Cannot add media file.

"The message size will become too large"

The setting was on Free. I think your right that it should be on Restricted, as my friend has that setting /

Any other ideas

I'm on O2 too and I have always seen this prompt, only recently updated and nothing has changed regarding sending of picture MMS that I've noticed.

I've been unable to send ANY MMS anyway, I've had the settings sent many times...must ring them up again!

After reflashing, I'd always get default internet & mms settings from SE after the first reboot when the internet wizard is automatically launched. Dunno if it's the same for branded phones.
