Before i bought the phone many users of k850 told me that the phone takes the pics very fast .. and i was soo thrilled , and thought that there is a good powerful proceesor and memory built in..

Buttoday after nearly 4 months of owning the phone I feel that k850 is really VERY UNDERPOWERED !!!!

I cant open more than 2 apps at the same time ..
and cant even hear to music and type a sinle instant message fast..!!!

Yes i know these are EXTRA Features to MOBILE phones... , but wht if i tell you that the even the most basic thing " calling " is DAMN SLOW ???

Yes I know all users out there face this ... and it will be very notable for the memebers/users who switched from k800 or k750 or other phone to k850.
How many times had you have to wait for the simple call list to appear??
or least to say how long does it take to attend a call?? ( i mean it start ringing , even if u press call button , it takes a solid 3-4 seconds to actually connect...)

Is this all due to underpowered hardware ?? or is it just the F cking A200 platform ??

please comment on this .. whoever feel your k850 is slow or underpowered..

i dont know how to create a petition.. if anyone can please do it .. let SE come to know that thier flagship is just a Slap to the hardcore fan`s of SE!!!

This has been well known fact that K850i is below average poorly implemented handset with a200 laggy platform, If u see the esato forums, there are many people who switched form K850 to N82 and are very happy with it and overall amazed with the phone.

yes true...^^^

i have few questions to SE :

1.) When You tested the phone in your Research and development centre didnt you realise it was DAmn slow ??? wht did u do then ??

2.)Do you think you can carry one with the popularity you created with excelllent phones like k750 / t610 / k800 ??? Do you think we all dont have eyes ???

3.)Wht is your software department doing ??? dont they know that A200 platform needs a bigger proceesor ?? and idnt they inform thier team leader ??? what was he doing ...??? Sitting dumb ????

4.)SE , Wake up now or you cant sit erect again ...coz nokia is improving and increased superbly in the department of " SPEED " !!! Wont you EVER try out the phone in your research labs???

5.) And Why dont you give firmware at regular intervals??

6.) Do u think You can sell whtever you like and whtever you want ???

7.) Last question : Is everybody sleeping there in the ofifce ???

Or they need to do a lot more optimizing (last EA037 increased speeds a little bit tho!)

Sorry SE never answers question, even for ultra high end flagship P990 its was the case, which was much more costlier and could not even make calls or do multiple task at once, these question will be never answered.I suggest u consider switching to Nokia, samsung .which not only get bugs fixed, But adds speed and fuctionality with each firmware.Look at how fast was release Of n82 and N95 firmware and performance improvement where.

thnks duran for informing.. but still its not released in asia...

I have one more question which i left out...

Why cant you put in a extra few memory or ram into the phone ... dont you know the person who buys these high end phones are not DUMB ___ , they are hgh end users and nerd to extreme... and multi task like hell... why cant You JUST PUT IN SOME MORE MMEORY WHEN you devleop the phone ??

More i think ... more my blood pressure increases !!!!!

I am still a VEry hardcore SE fan.... Atleast for Christ sake release a improived firmware or simply put in the old media player.... we dont want a DUMB SH!T walkman v3 sitting and doing nothing when a simple java app , namely KD PLAYER does it fantaastically.....

Try to put in some smart / intelligent Software developers in research facility... not some Dumb Sh!tssss

Cool down dude

I think its pretty bad idea to go for the K850i on the first place, When the esato forums have numerous threads and bugs being reported , its not great idea to go head and buy it, just because of faith that Se produced K750i/w800

@naveensiva

I've loved the SE brand since the days of Ericsson until they stopped being ahead of the chasing pack. The only SE I own now is my beloved P910i- superb phone that even after 3 years. I jumped ship to motorola this week and I'm happy that I didn't get the k850 after reading so many complaints from many users. SE released this phone before it was properly tested and found to be ready, they actually did the same thing with the P990i. Users get to be their beta testers because the competition has released something new or better (n95).I'm glad they seem to be taking their time with Paris, hopefully it is going to be stable. I haven't given up on SE just yet, as soon as they sort themselves out and give me a good quality, stable and well specified phone I'll be back.

At this moment the x1 is looking so good to me I just have to wait and see if it is stable enough.

All of the A200 models are too slow (the W890i is just as bad when it's playing music, and even worse if playing over Bluetooth headphones and/or connected to the Bluetooth watch).

At a recent round table meeting with 3 and Google, SE basically said they needed to reduce power consumption with better 3G chipsets, more efficient screens and increase processor performance.

Of course they didn't explain WHY they needed to improve processor performance, but anyone who has used a K850i, W910i, K660i or W890i will know EXACTLY why!!

(I also fear the C902 is going to be the same)
