is it possible to view individual created folder wit pics you have on ur phone using the media function? since all i see in der is photo's etc, and when i go into that menu it shows me latest photos, cam album. photo tag etc. if i go into file manager, and try create a folder in the pictures folder, and try put photo's in, it shows me it der, but i cant seem to view it under the media section.
if you understand me?
can anyone help.
or can it not be done?

all the photos that u may have in various folders can be viewed in the media section. in the media section...when u go to photos..there are 4 options there...latest photo, cam album, photo tags, and pictures. the pictures in your folders will either appear under cam album or pictures. i m not sure as to how exactly the media manager selects which ones go to cam album and which to pictures. in the cam album they will be grouped by their dates if they dont appear there they should be in pictures!!! pictures i uploaded to the phone via my phone explorer went to pictures...while some that i jus copied in mass storage mode appeared in cam album or pictures!!!! hope that helps |

thank you for that. i understand thats how it is shown at the moment. on a nokia phone for example the n73 you can add a name to a folder with photo's on it, and you can view them photos in that folder in the gallery. can't seem to do this on the s.e in the media part i have noticed.

well in case of photos...thats what the tags are for (kind of like how google used labels to sort emails instead of using folders)
IMO i think its way better....as u can have many photos with many different tags (like a photo could be in holiday as well as family at the same time)...whereas in folders u can only put the photo in one! |

its pretty simple actually....when u are viewing the photos i think pressing the down button lets u add tags to them...at the beginning there is only favorites tag....but u can always make more just like you would make folders (u can even add icons to the tags to help identify them) then u can view all the photos in the tags...by going to the media browser -> photos -> photo tags... and they should all be listed there...you can even view all the photos just from the tag as a slideshow as well
personally i love tags....coz i have many photos that belong to more than just one group.....its little things like this that i really love about this phone!!! |
