Hey, hi again.
Im charging the battery twice a day, i hace two batteries and both are presenting the same issue, so, might be the phone using too much energy. I've had this phone for about two months now. Can any one give any tips to make it last longer, or any ideas of why is this happening. You might think that i dont leave my phone alone, and that colud be the reason of my battery nos lasting. But, i just dont know, don't we all use our phone as much as we need?

Sorry for such a long post, IDEAS?

I find my only drains quickly if I am in a very low/no signal area for most of the day. Otherwise, I get about 2 days of fairly good use.

Does this apply to you? [addsig]

two days? i can not even dream of that...
does not apply at all, i have full signal now, and most of the time.
i charged my phone last night, woke up to a 100% battery. is 12. 51 pm right now, i left home with the phone at 9.00 am, so that will be around 4 hours unplugged. And my baterry now is at 44%.

Hold on, the charger is calling me, i have to attend its call.

Reset the phone, reinstall firmware. Don't install new software. Check if the same thing happens - if so -> hardware fault, send to rep.

One other thing - what is your screen brightness set to? I changed my to 90% to see what it looked like and forget to reset it to 65% and my battery started draining rapidly. It could be that! [addsig]

Hey guys, facing the same old battery life related problem with my week old P1i..Had a P900 that never lived up to its battery promises..Thought it was becos I didn't give it a full charge 1st time I got it..Charged my P1i about 9 hours 1st time i got it and it still only lasts 1-1.5 days

Dimmed the backlight to 39% and I constantly End all other programs running in the background..Any suggestions how to keep the battery going longer? Also wondering if you guys get this 3G & Blackberry icon at the top of the screen beside the signal bar? Can't seem to remove those icons and thinking they could be using up my battery

Turn off 3G and uninstall Blackb if you don't use it and your battery will last longer.I think you expect too much.

Perhaps this is just the problem, AFAIK ending apps consumes energy so you probably should leave the programs idle in the background and let the system decide if any program needs to be ended. Constantly ending apps means constant battery drain. I can't afford to do that though since we all know the RAM situation for P990

Switch phone off. Take the battery out for 2min. Then re-insert. Then do a master reset. Charge for minimum of 12hours.

No point doing that on a lithium polymer battery - shouldn't have any memory- effects, and so on, and should take about the same time to a full charge every time, until it breaks down. Also, shouldn't lose effect from several short charges during the day, like the organic based batteries will.
