Hi all,
Hope you can help me out here...

I seem to have found a problem with the memory calculation of the T300, and i cannot image that i am the only one having (seen) this problem.
I ran out of memory, so i started deleting sounds, and images, but as i went on i noticed that in the memory status list the used memory fields (such as 'My sounds, My pictures, etc.') were indeed dropping, BUT the free memory was hardly getting any KB's.

example:
I uploaded a sound to my phone 47KB, all was fine, 47BK added to 'My sounds' and removed from the free memory, BUT
now I deleted this sound again, and indeed 47KB was removed from 'My sounds' but only a few KB was added to the free memory (6KB or so).

So now i entered a sound, deleted it again, but i am 41KB less on memory. And it's getting worse each upload/delete...

Please help me out here.
Thanks.

Try this site for the latest firmware versions of SE phones:

http://w1.854.telia.com/~u85424385/fw.html

The latest version for the T300 is R1D011 (as at 31 December, 2002).

To update the firmware on the phone, you probably need to take it to an SE Service Point. As far as I know, it can't be updated using IR. It can be updated using a cable, the right software and a firmware dump but I don't have the links.

A search here at Esato will no doubt discover more information on flashing.

Ok... well since there are no clear solutions (yet), i will try a master reset, perhaps that clears it up a bit, so that i can start over again...

Something tells me not to though... anyone have 'bad' experiences with doing a master reset?

they are in the static memory of the phone, but if you go looking at them they're a copied also in the dynamic memory (loose of space)
-> bug
